Description

A George 3rd Mahogany chest on chest and dating from around 1780. This stunning Georgian chest on chest has a moulded cornice top with a satin wood strung lip underneath, which has an inlaid shell to the centre. It then has two short over three long graduating Oak lined drawers with original brass handles and escutheons. The drawer fronts have a cross banded and strung edge. The top also has canted and readed corners. The base is moulded around the top with three long graduating drawers all the same as the ones above. It is moulded around the bottom and stands on ogee bracket feet. The top lifts off the base for ease of movement.
Measures: Height: 77" x Depth: 20" x Width: 44.5"
