Description

Superb Antique George 111 Oak Linen Press and dating from around 1780. Of quality medium oak it has a cornice top above a deep frieze and two panelled doors with brass escutcheons with two removeable oak shelves to the interior ( a hanging rail could be fitted to accommodate hanging space if required). To the base there are two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are pine lined and with brass handles and brass escutcheons. It stands on bracket feet and the top separates for ease of transporting.
Please note that it is not as 'bright' in reality as in the photographs (this is due to the winter lighting we have to use). In reality it is a lovely mellow colour.
Measures: 78" high x 21" deep x internal depth (top) 19" x 50" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak oozing all the charm and character of the period.
