Lovely Antique Black Forest Carved Oak Hall Chair and dating form aorund 1880. It has a carved griffin head and shield to the centre of a shaped and carved vine top rail above a central carved back rest of twisted vine qith barley twist side supports and carved patera topped with turned finials. It has a deep stuff over seat that has been recovered in a quality fabric totally in keeping with the design of the chair and stands on turned and block legs joined by bobbin turned stretchers.
Measures: 46" high x seat height 17" x 22" deep x 20" wide
In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination oozing all the charm and character of the period.
