Description

A Superb Pair of Antique French Fauteuil Open Armchairs in their original crackle paint and dating from around 1920. Each chair has a deep padded backrest set within a moulded frame with carved cartouche to the top. They have outsplayed and padded armrests on a shaped support with deep padded stuff over seat and serpentine shaped skirt carved to the centre and standing on lovely cabriole legs. They have their original cream crackle paint and gilt edges with some rubbing ( see photograph) giving for a very fashionably and very slightly distressed look. They are covered in a neutral raised velvet quality fabric.
Each chair measures: 35" high x seat height 16" x 23" deep x 23" wide
