antique late victorian rosewood inlaid pier cabinet c1890

Description

Lovely Antique Late Victorian Rosewood Pier Cabinet and dating from around 1890. It has a moulded edge to the top above a deep frieze with inlaid fruitwood stringing and with a central inlaid sunburst. To each side there carved corbel supports again inlaid with sunburst design and with fine stringing. There is a single glazed door with original working key and with two original fixed shelves with fine stringing to the front and being crimson lined. It stands on a shaped plinth base.
A superb Rosewood Pier Cabinet in very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the quality Rosewood and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
