Description

Superb Antique William 1V Flat Back Scroll Arm Sofa and dating from aorund 1830. Constructed from quality solid mahogany it has a moulded top rail with swan shaped sides carved with Acanthus leaf and deep button back above a stuff over seat and with beautifully scrolled high armrests and leading to deep moulded skirt with carved panels above a turned and fluted leg on castors.
Covered in a green self stripe fabric with matching rolled cushions.
Measures: 38" high to back x seat height 17" x 26" deep x 80" wide
A truly superb sofa of excellent quality mahogany and in very good condition with a wonderful colour and original patination to the mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
