Description

Superb Pair Antique Burr Walnut Ladies & Gents large Wardrobes in the Queen Anne style and dating from around 1920. Constructed from quality Burr Walnut each wardrobe has a serpentine shaped top above two beautifully panelled doors of quarter cut burr walnut with moulded edges and cross banded surround and with their original working lock and key. Internally the Gents wardrobe has a shelf to the top and to one side original hanging rail and hooks with shoe rails to the base and to the other side there are two shelves above a sliding drawer with compartments for ties etc and there is a sliding trouser rail with compartments to one side. To the inside of the door there is a bevelled mirror above a deep glass shelf with original chrome supports.
Internally the Ladies wardrobe has a shelf to the top above original hanging rail and hooks to one side and to the other side are four sliding trays with a deep drawer to the base which is oak lined with original brass handle.
Both wardrobes stand on short cabriole legs with carved shell and joined by a shaped frieze.

82" high x 20" deep x internal depth 18" x 52" wide
