ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN WALNUT AND SATINWOOD BUREAU C1900

Description

Gorgeous Antique Edwardian and Satinwood Bureau and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality walnut it has a cross banded edge to the top and fall front with chequered stringing and with the fall front having an ornate key escutcheon with working key. The fall front opens to reveal a row of pigeon holes with shaped frieze above three drawers all of which have cross banded fronts with ebony chequered stringing and small brass knob handles. To the centre is a deep well compartment and it has a leather skiver in good condition. There is a long false drawer to the front with cross banding and fine chequered stringing and original ornate brass handles above a deep serpentine shaped frieze with carved shell to the centre and it stands on lovely cabriole legs with acanthus carved shoulders and with claw and ball feet.
