Description

Antique Edwardian Mahogany Set of Eight Shield Back Dining Chairs in Wheatsheaf Design and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality mahogany there are six chairs and two elbow carver chairs. Each chair having a reeded frame to the shield back with a shaped central back splat with wheatsheaf design. They have stuff over seats with serpentine shaped fronts and upholstered in a quality satirised fabric in keeping with the style and period of the chairs. They stand on squared tapering and reeded legs joined by squared stretchers.
The two carver chairs are identical to the chairs but are slightly larger and with reeded shepherds crook armrests. This is a quality set of dining chairs.
Each chair measures: 37" high to back x seat height 17" x depth 20" x width 20"
Each Carver measures: 37" high x seat height 17" x depth 21" x width 24"
