Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Bedroom Suite consisting of a Double Wardrobe, Dressing Chest and Chest of Drawers constructed from quality mahogany and dating from around 1900.
THE WARDOBE: with caddy cornice top above a fretwork frieze and a full length beveled mirrored door with inlaid stringing and original brass handle and flanked on either side by a parquetry panel with satinwood inlaid oval with floral motif to the centre. Internally it is all hanging and to the base there is a long deep drawer which is mahogany lined with brass handles and fine inlaid stringing. It stands on style feet and dismantles for ease of transporting,
MEASURES : 79" HIGH X 18.5" DEEP X 47" WIDE AND INTERNAL DEPTH 17.5"
THE DRESSING CHEST: With shield shaped mirror set within a Mahogany Frame with fine stringing and on tapered supports with brass finials to the top. The table top has a carved frieze to the back ( matching the wardrobe ) and with moulded edge to the top with fine inlaid stringing. There are two short drawers over two long drawers all of which are mahogany lined with brass handles and inlaid fine stringing. It stands on squared tapering legs on castors.
MEASURES : 61" HIGH TO TOP OF MIRROR X 30" HIGH TO TABLE TOP X 19.5" DEEP X 42" WIDE
THE CHEST OF DRAWERS: With moulded edge to the top with fine inlaid stringing and with two short drawers over three long graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with brass handles and with fine stringing to the drawer fronts. It stands on style feet with shaped corner supports.
MEASURES: 39.5" HIGH X 18" DEEP X 39" WIDE
with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
