Description

Antique Early 19TH Century Joined Oak Box Settle Bench and dating from around 1816. Constructed from solid oak it has a carved frieze to the top with the name ' MARIA OCKELMAN ANNO 1816'. This is above cushioned panels separated by carved flora. It has shaped and pierced side arms leading to a plank seat with moulded edge and which raises to reveal storage space. There are four moulded panels to the front above a shaped frieze and stands on extended style feet.
MEASURES: 36" HIGH TO BACK X 19.5" DEEP X 72" WIDE AND SEAT HEIGHT 18"
With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
