Description

Antique Pair Georgian Period Mahogany Astragal Glazed Library Bookcase�s and dating from the time of George 111 c1780. Each being identical and having a stepped cornice top above a crossbanded frieze and an Astragal Glazed Door with three internal adjustable shelves. To one of the bookcases there are four small drawers with original turned knob handles above a single shelf and the other bookcase has two adjustable shelves . They both have a raised moulded panelled door to the base with original turned knob handle and stand on a plinth base.
It is rare to find a pair of Georgian Bookcases.
EACH ONE MEASURES: 76.5� HIGH X 16� DEEP X 32� WIDE AND INTERNAL DEPTH 12.5�
With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
