Description

superb Antique large Victorian Cylinder Top Oak Pedestal Desk and dating from around 1880. It has a polished top with moulded gallery back above a cylinder front with turned oak knob handles and which opens to reveal a central letter rack flanked on either side by four small drawers with satinwood fronts. The Writing desk area slides out . The central area with original leather skiver can be raised revealing compartment under. To each side there is a further leather skiver which again raises to reveal a hidden compartment. Each pedestal has three graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with turned original knob handles and raised on a plinth base on castors. It has a polished back and can therefore be situated in any part of a room.
