Description

Antique Victorian Burr Walnut and Ebony Pier Display Cabinet and dating from around 1880. Constructed of quality Burr Walnut it has a gilt brass filigree back rail and sides and walnut top with fine stringing and contrasting ebony crossbanding with moulded due to the top over a deep crossbanded walnut frieze with ebony moulded edge. There is a single glazed door set within a burr walnut and ebony framed with key and two internal shelves and flanked on either side by a turned column. The sides are of burr walnut with ebony crossbanding and it is raised on an ebony plinth on turned feet on castors.
