Description

Antique Period Carved Oak Cupboard and dating from around the time of George 111 c1760-80. Constructed from solid oak it has a moulded cornice to the plank top above a single door with a carved fielded panel with later iron strap hinges ( prob early 19TH century). This is flanked by a further carved panel and a linen fold panel to each side and leading to a shaped frieze with turned finials. The back panels of linen fold design and it has squared supports leading to a plank pot board and the whole being raised on style feet. It is hand and peg joined.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
